
SULTAN TARLACI, MD

Dr. Tarlacı is born in Rize, in 1970. He finished medical school in 1995 and specialized in neurology in 2000. He is awarded Research Encouragement Award by the Society of Brain Research in 2000, Research Encouragement Award by TUBITAK Society of Brain Research in 2001 and Sedat Simavi Health Sciences Award by the Society of Turkish Journalists in 2003.
Dr. Tarlacı is a study member of the Neurology Intensive Care and Cognitive Neuroscience Group.
He is the author of a medical text book titled Acil Nörolojik Hastalıklar: Güncel Tanı ve Tedavi and two recently published books titled Bilinç: Antikçağdan Bilincin Yeniden Keşfine and Kuantum Beyin: Bilinç-Beyin Sorununa Yeni Bilimsel Yaklaşım.
Dr. Tarlacı is the publisher, godfather and chief editor of the NeuroQuantology (An Interdisciplinary Journal of Neuroscience and Quantum Physics) magazine which is acknowledged as SCI (Scientific Citation Index) bu January 2008.
He is the author of over 20 papers which were accepted in SCI on various aspects of neurology. Also he writes popular science articles for magazines like Popüler Bilim, Bilim ve Teknik. He currently writes articles on popular neurology for Bilim ve Ütopya magazine.
His concentration in the field of research is to find out if the rules of quantum physics apply to the nervous system. Dr. Tarlacı currently works as a neurology specialist in a private hospital and continues the editorship of NeuroQuantology magazine.
