2nd Istanbul Parapsychology Conference with international attendance will be held in Istanbul, Turkey, at Harbiye Military Museum, on between May 23-24, 2009.

The conference, organized by DER-TUR and hosted by Metapsychical Investigations and Scientific Research Society (MISRS) and The Foundation for Spreading Knowledge To Unify Humanity (Bilyay Foundation) will be on parapsychology, the science which studies the abilities related to extrasensory perception.

Bilyay Foundation, founded in 1994, has its roots in Metapsychical Investigations and Scientific Research Society (MISRS) which was founded in 1950, by Dr. Bedri Ruhselman. MISRS and Bilyay Foundation work for educating Turkish public on the field of parapsychology by publishing a periodical, bulletins, books and by organising conferences and seminars for 58 years.

Inadequate public information about the scientific research has been done so far on unknown properties of human nature seems lately in our country to lead unscientific assertions about paranormal phenomena, interpretations done by persons and institutions unrelated to the field, misguidance of the public and unhealthy consequences. The aim of this conference is to allow researchers who study the subjects related to the field of parapsychology through their research and studies in universities and institutions, share their experiences and results with Turkish public and also to emphasize the need of academical studies on these subjects in our country.

Among the presenters from abroad: psychologist Stanley Krippner, Ph.D from Saybrook Graduate School, San Francisco; research associate Stephan A. Schwartz from Atlantic University; physicsist Amit Goswami, Ph.D from Oregon University; Charles Winstead, Ph.D from California Integral Studies Institute. And from Turkey: well-known names in their respective fields of research, such as Sultan Tarlacı, M.D.; Inci Erkin, M.D. and Ali Seydi Gultekin, CE.E.

Topics which will be presented in 2nd Istanbul Parapsychology Conference in two days, are:
