Dr. Atwater, one of the original researchers in the field of near-death studies began her work in 1978 after her own near-death experiences. Seven books contain her findings, some of which have now been verified in clinical prospective studies and in "The Lancet," 12-15-01 (the Dutch Study). Sessions held with adult and child experiencers now number nearly 4,000. She has served twice on the Board of the International Association For Near-Death Studies, once as Second Vice-President, and was a columnist for their magazine "Vital Signs" for several decades.

Her books are:

Coming Back To Life: The After-Effects of the Near-Death Experience
Beyond the Light, What Isn't Being Said About the Near-Death Experience
Children of the New Millennium (soon in Turkish)
Future Memory
The Complete Idiots Guide to Near-Death Experiences
We Live Forever: The Real Truth About Death (her new book)
The New Children and The Fifth World, Prophecy and Evolution (publication in August, 2005)

Near Death Experiences of Children

People, who were pronounced dead and later revived through CPR massage or advanced medical intervention, have provided some details of their experiences which has resulted in the term "near- death experience" or NDE becoming widely known. Thousands of adults and children who were interviewed recounted extraordinary experiences during the period they were considered dead.
Dr. Atwater has interviewed nearly 4.000 adults and children to date. She has concluded that these experiences have changed the structure of intelligence and world view of the 277 children whom she interviewed. Dr. Atwater will share her findings with us and address the challenges that face parents and society in a world in which more children are saying:
"I feel like an adult in a child's body."
